Question by Tiger Tiger Burning Bright: How does one write well-written humor?
Bill Bryson, for example, is a fantastic and downright hilarious writer. I also want to try my hand at humor but I can’t seem to nail it. Are there any tricks of the trade? Thanks
Well, my humor is actually pretty sarcastic. I can’t just start making jokes like that, but when I do try, I can make people laugh.

Are you funny at all? Maybe try stand up comedy. You’ll learn about timing, structure, and what works. You could probably also use some of your jokes in your writing. I think timing, surprise, and noticing the humor in small things in life are most important.
