Question by I have a banana up my ********: What is your opinion of Shanghai people who wear pyjamas walking in their neighbourhood?
Many Shanghai residents wear pyjamas when shopping near home or visiting neighbours. Is this too casual? Or a welcome respite from the pressures of city life?

The China daily ran an article about unsuccessful effects by the Chinese government efforts discourage this practice.

Furthermore was it wrong for the New York times to write articles about news articles that appeared in China media sources about the Chinese governments effects to stop Shanghai citizens walking around in their pyjamas as light humorous reading. I know full well that the China daily publishes light humoured articles time to time about other countries way of life.
